Shipping
SHIPPING INFORMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW WHEN YOU ORDER FROM US.
How we ship:
Great care is taken in the packaging of our containers and other products and we will not knowingly ship packages with damaged or defective goods. Please read below to make yourself aware of shipping policies.
Small orders are sent UPS, DHL, Fed EX. Larger orders are sent by various ground carriers and are covered by the rules of that service. We send by the best, least expensive way unless you specify otherwise.
Shipping will calculate during check out process. You will see this and be able to cancel / clear the order before completing if not acceptable. Most rates are based on UPS, DHL, Fed EX. . Larger items or larger orders will need to go Ground Transport (truck) and may require a recalculation of S&H charges. If this applies to your order, you will be informed and sent the revised invoice for your approval before processing order.. S&H on Larger, custom orders and written quotes will be presented before processing.
On Ground Transport there usually are added charges for residential deliveries. All shipping charges subject to review and correction with notice. Most orders will need to be accepted and signed for by a responsible party. Advise if there are times not acceptable for delivery and we will try to accommodate, but Ground carriers get there when they can, during working hours. If repeat visits are required you will be charged for the added cost.
OUT OF USA orders - shipping out of continental USA, usually need to be recalculated, and we will advise of actual S&H when we receive the order. You have the option at that point to approve or cancel if not acceptable.
SUBJECT: DAMAGED SHIPMENTS
We can no longer be held responsible for damages that occur during shipping. Some of our manufacturers will just replace the damaged unit, but many now expect the end user to process the claim from their end.. We will help as much as possible, but you need to follow the proceedure to be sure.
Factory will try their utmost to pack your containers carefully and securely. We want our containers to arrive complete and un-damaged the same as you do. To protect yourself and us, read on:
Freight companies are denying all claims that are signed "free and clear".
That means, if you just sign your name without looking at the shipment, you're saying everything was OK. Even if the exterior of your shipments look OK, it doesn't mean there can't be concealed damages inside. Please, if you can't take the time to completely inspect the shipment while the carrier is present, just note this on the bill of lading. This is going to protect us both later. My suggestion is this... at the bottom of this memo is a copy of a rubber stamp that we use here. Write something like this:
Date Rec'd:______________________________
Short _____ Visible Damage _____ Other _____
________________________________________
________________________________________
________________________________________
Unable to unpack & inspect condition of complete
shipment while carrier was present. Therefore we
are signing this receipt pending further inspection.
Rec'd by:_________________________________
The above relates mostly to ground shipments. Claim process may vary with smaller UPS type deliveries. Don't accept or sign for orders you have not inspected!
